Day 3 19 Mar 2006 London Bus Tour

Had the usual breakfast and then attended mass at the Our Lady Queen of Heaven Church at Queensway. The sun was out but it was still a very cold day. The priest announced that last year's temperature was 23 Degrees Celsius compared to the day's 6 degrees. Brrrr - we were bundled up though.

Bought a 2-day pass for the Big Bus London City Tour from one of the stalls by the Bayswater Metro Station and caught the bus near our hotel. Mom took still pictures while I shot videos and also took some choice shots. We stayed on the bus for the first half of the tour and just took pictures and enjoyed the scenery as we passed by the Marble Arch (actually a hanging/execution place), Madam Tussaud's Wax Museum, Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square, Parliament Square, Big Ben, London Aquarium, London Eye (a huge Ferris Wheel for a panoramic view), St. Paul's Cathedral, London Tower Bridge and the River Thames.

We then got off at the Westminster Pier and boarded the ferry to the London Tower again enjoying the view this time from the river. Took more videos and pictures especially of the London Eye and Tower Bridge.

Got off at the Tower of London Pier and had lunch at Subway. Walked around and had our picture taken with the Tower Bridge in the background. Got back on the bus for the remainder of the tour and enjoyed the view as we passed Big Ben again, Parliament Building, Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace, Hyde Park, Hard Rock Cafe, Harrod's Dept. Store, Victoria/Kensington areas (the most expensive), Prince Albert Memorial Hall, Science and Natural History Museum, Kensington Palace, Notting Hill and finally back where we started in front of our hotel. It was still a bit chilly but the sun was out so we were able to enjoy the tour. Another great day.
